Until We Meet Again is the third book in the Bluford Series. It focuses on Darcy's Relationship with Hakeem, Hakeem moving to Detroit, Her Grandmother's death, and introduces Brian Mason.
The story starts by revealing that Darcy's parents are getting back together, in spite of the huge fight they had in the previous book. Then, Darcy's old friend, Lissele Mason, asks her to babysit for her while she goes to school. There she's re-introduced to Lissele's brother, Brian; who is instantly attracted to Darcy and the feeling is mutual.
Later Hakeem, whose father has cancer, has to move away to Detroit to get a job with his uncle. Decidedly, Hakeem breaks up with Darcy to make it easier to move.
Almost immediately after they break up, Brian Mason sees Darcy and offers to make a date with Darcy, she reluctantly accepts. While she was out on a date with Brian Mason, Darcy's grandmother falls and needs to be hospitalized ,Darcy blames herself for the accident.
After a few "more than subtle dates," Brian invites her to his apartment alone, but Darcy's family was having dinner that night, so she lied and said she had to babysit. After Brian and Darcy talk a bit, Brian starts massaging Darcy and starts getting rough, Brian then forces himself on Darcy. She begged him to stop but Brian didn't, before things got out of hand, Dad; still thinking she's babysitting for Lissele, hears the struggle inside and controls the situation.When Darcy and Dad get home Dad is so furious he doesn't even want to look at her. He later tells Darcy's mother who is so mad, she grounds Darcy for a month. Darcy goes to her room and thinks about her situation but can't sleep.
Later, she goes into Grandma's room and talks to Grandma about everything that was bothering her. After crying in Grandmas lap she notices Mom standing in the doorway where they both let out how they feel.The next morning, Darcy awakes to the frantic sound of her mother's voice. Darcy, already knowing what happened, goes into Grandma's room to discover she had passed away. An eerie silence covers the room, except for the occasional sob.
After an undisclosed amount of time the family has the funeral. There Tarah, Cooper, and even Brisana; who Darcy realizes was right about Brian. After the funeral, Darcy is surprised to see her ex-boyfriend,Hakeem, who earlier moved to Detroit.
